When you consider what Jesus said & look at that statemtne closer....there's no other options here. As a "follower" of Christ we should become fisher's of men. He didn't say, "I MIGHT make you..." He said "I WILL MAKE..." So are you? Have you been made? Look at your life & examine yourself honestly. Are YOU catching men? Are you letting His light shine in your life? I believe the struggles many churches have today are directly related to this. Maybe they were once fishermen. But what happened? Studies show us the most evangelistic people in the church today are the ones who have recently accepted Christ. They have just expereinced a great transformation in their life. God really got a hold of them & now their excitement is contagious. But then down the road, the excitement begins to die down. Which is why it is imparative that we keep newly saved people in our congregations! They are the fuel to our fire.
If you've been a Christian (Christ-follower) for a while you know exactly what I'm talking about. We have ask God to refresh us! We need the Holy Spirit to revive the fire that once was in us. We need to be catching men! The fish are a plenty & He will guide us to the best spots. We just have to be willing . So my prayer for you as it is for me is for Jesus to MAKE YOU & MAKE ME! I pray He makes us fisher's of men.
